Korean conductor Shi-Yeon Sung conducts the revival of Mats Ek’s much-acclaimed production of Gluck’s Orphée at Stockholm’s Royal Opera, opening Feb 25. Shi-Yeon who has had a busy season in Swedish orchestras, will also conduct Dvorak’s Symphony no 3 with the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra. Tobias Ringborg will be the concert’s violin soloist, playing works by Kreisler and Aulin. Helsingborg March 4th
Natalie Hernborg sings her first Blanche de la Force in Poulenc’s tragic opera Dialogues des Carmèlites. In the same production, we also find Miriam Treichl as Mère Marie, Charlotta Larsson as Madame Lidoine and Susanna Stern as Sœur Constance. Prémière at Malmö Opera Feb 27
